Surfing Lessons and Rentals

Guincho beach is an ideal beach to learn to surf and also for advanced surfers and for many other activities. Important factors such as best tides, wind directions, currents, and the many other surfing beaches and reefs (more experienced only) plus other information are explained at the school and during the surfing courses. Guincho beach is also a world class wavesailing location, in the summer months the “normal weather pattern” is the surf is glassy during the morning often giving perfect surfing conditions, then the wind picks up usually in th afternoon so surfing is good until about 2-3 o clock. Of course the weather pattern is not perfectly predictable, sometimes the wind comes in early and other times there is no wind all day, there are other beaches nearby that are protected from the wind.

Surfing Courses
Each class is one to one and half hours long. All equipment is provided. Minimum age is 6 years old (classes with 6-10 year olds are either private or a maximum of two kids at the same time with two instructors.). Instructors are highly experienced and speak: English, German and Spanish. Maximum students in one class would be Six.

The courses and activities listed here can be modified to suit personal or group needs. Moana surf school will try to be as flexible as possible to peoples needs whilst ensuring the maximum standard of safety. Advanced courses and prices are made when requirements are known. Private classes 35 euros for one hour. Recommended for very young kids. Also recommended if you are very nervous about being in the sea. Private Classes also mean you will get more attention and should improve rapidly.

All equipment is provided throughout the courses, and if interested in buying equipment you should remember that appropriate equipment for your requirements is essential.
